Hall of Heroes came to me for custom card design. They required three prompt decks to help clients easily devise social media posts. The three decks (Hero, Elf and Wizard) consist of 30 cards with different prompts, plus custom illustrations on the rear. We package these in a welcome pack for new clients enrolled in the Hall of Heroes social media course. Since these are a core part of the offering, we ensure they are extra special. As such, I designed three custom illustrations so each deck would have a distinct feel. This allows users to dictate content style while getting one of 90 unique prompts. The design process ensured these could be printed to a high-quality finish without sacrificing utility.

The project required traditional art skills plus Adobe Illustrator to bring the card design to life. The final illustrations were designed as vectors for accurate print and to allow resizing without losing quality. Card design such as this requires accuracy and attention to detail, as the print area is quite small. This meant liaising with the client to ensure the content fit and editing down where necessary.

The cards have proven a popular addition to the welcome packs, giving clients something tangible and memorable.
